John K Proctor

With a strong foundation of service, John K. Proctor brings a wealth of experience to his work with Veterans, ex-offenders, and underserved communities. His commitment began with 13 years of dedicated service in the U.S. Army, followed by an 18-year career with the Virginia Department of Corrections, from which he retired in 2021.

Driven by a passion to make a tangible difference, John established New Life Foundations in 2021. This non-profit organization offers and facilitates access to crucial resources, including housing solutions, mental health services, and intensive outpatient programs through strategic collaborations and partnerships. John’s hands-on approach is further demonstrated through his management of two thriving sober living houses. He is also the accomplished author of “Opening Doors: The Transitional House Blueprint,” a testament to his expertise in transitional housing.
